Rugby returns to the Glengarry Highland Games
The First Annual Nate MacRae Memorial Rugby Tournament
Please join us for the first annual Nate MacRae Memorial Invitational Rugby tournament to be held at the Glengarry Highland Games. The format will be a box sevens. The preliminary round will be round-robin, held on Friday August 4th, from 12:30pm to 6:00pm on the grounds of the Glengarry Highland Games. The championship games will be held on Saturday August 5th, on the infield, in front of the grandstand. The divisions are U18 girls, women’s and men’s.
Nate MacRae was an enthusiastic young man, who lost his battle with cancer. He was a sportsman, loving the competition and companionship generated through sports. He loved his Celtic heritage and was lovingly called, “The Scotsman” by his teammates and friends.
This event will certainly provide exciting play in this historical Scottish game!
We still need some more players to make this event a success. If you, or someone you know, would like to take part contact Alex de Wit at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also contact Alex with any questions.
