The Nate MacRae Memorial Rugby Tournament

Please join us for the 6th annual Nate MacRae Memorial Rugby Tournament to be held at the Glengarry Highland Games. The format will be a box sevens, and is open to women, men, and youth, with divisions to be determined by registration numbers.

The preliminary rounds will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024, on the field behind the Clan Buildings on the grounds of the Glengarry Highland Games. The championship games will be held between 2:30 PM and 4:00 PM on the infield, in front of the grandstands.

Our Box 7s format is 7 players, vs 7 players for 7 minute halves using the XRugby rule set.

This event promises exciting play from this historical Scottish game!

Registration is $400 per team of 10 plays ($40/player beyond 10) before June 16th, $500 per team after June 16th 2023.

All PLAYERS MUST BE REGISTERED WITH RUGBY CANADA.

A full list of players must be sent to Cornwallon.rugby@gmail.com no later than July 14th 2023 for confirmation with Rugby Canada.

Nate MacRae

Nate MacRae was an enthusiastic young man who lost his battle with cancer. He was a sportsman, loving the competition and companionship generated through sports. He loved his Celtic heritage and was lovingly called “The Scotsman” by his teammates and friends.
